Emerging Color

Try this little twist on Embossing Resist for a simple WOW.
Supplies
- Dye ink (lighter and darker colored)
- Versamark™
- Solid stamps
- Brayer
- Clear embossing powder
- Heat tool
- Paper towel
Step-by-Step

Step 1
Stamp smaller solid stamps in lighter colors all over cardstock. Flower images were used here, but shapes work well, too.
Let dry. -
Step 2
Ink main image with Versamark™ and stamp over smaller images.

Step 3
Pour clear embossing powder over Versamarked image and tap off excess powder. .

Step 4
Use heat tool to melt the embossing powder. Let cool.

Step 5
Ink your brayer with a darker dye ink and apply ink to entire cardstock piece.

Step 6
Continue to brayer, adding more color to cardstock until satisfied. Let dry.

Step 7
Take a paper towel and wipe ink off of embossed

Step 8
Take a more detailed stamp and an even darker dye ink color and stamp over cardstock. Here, the swirl stamp from the stamp set "Priceless" was used. A large background stamp or wheel would work as well.

Step 9
Wipe any excess ink off of embossed flower again.

Step 10
Finish your card.

What's a girl to do!!!
In step 2-4 I stamped the bigger flower over the smaller flowers in Versamark and heat embossed it with clear powder. Then I brayered over the entire image with a darker ink. The heat embossed flower will resist the darker ink, letting the smaller flowers underneath shine through.
