Multicolor Embossing

Use multiple embossing powders to embellish a die cut.
Supplies
- Cardstock (Neenah Solar White used here)
- Shaped cutting die (Simon Says Stamp RyLynn Snowflake die used here)
- Die cutting machine
- Versamark or other embossing ink
- Painter's tape or other low tack tape for masking
- Embossing powders (Wow Vintage Peacock and Metallic Platinum Sparkle used here)
- Heat tool
- Other supplies as needed to complete the card (used here: stamps (MFT Cool Day Stamp Set), dies (MFT Blueprints 13, MFT Let It Snowflake,) MFT Steel Grey Cardstock, MFT Steel Grey Button, Ranger Silver Stickles, Pretty Pink Posh Clear Sequins, Versafine Onyx Black Ink, Ranger Multi Medium Matte Glue and Tombow Stamp Runner Adhesive)
Step-by-Step

Step 1
Die cut a focal shape from white cardstock.

Mask some areas of the die cut using painter’s tape.

Step 2
Ink open area with Versamark or other embossing ink.

Remove tape carefully.

Step 3
Apply embossing powder to inked area.

Heat to set and allow to cool before continuing.

Step 4
Apply embossing ink to the areas of the shape that were masked before.

Coat with a coordinating powder and heat to set.

Step 5 (Optional)
Ink and add accents with the first powder or another color as desired.

Step 6
Use the embossed die cut to decorate a project.
