I started my card yesterday. Last night after supper, I severely cut my thumb preparing leftovers. Fortunately, it was my non-dominate hand. Today, it still hurts!! It's amazing how much I want to use that thumb. I wanted to give up finishing this today; however, I was inspired by Brenda/Tessaduck, who kept going following shoulder surgery and found a way to participate in DTGD Challenges. My card didn't turn out as I planned, but it's okay. I didn't give it a "thumbs down". Three challenges:
Alphabet -Letter R with Bonus to use a rose. I also have ribbon & rhinestones
Sketch - The design enabled me to use my brand new dies. I've never had Spellbinders before, so it was learn as I go.
Color - The Cherry & Artichoke worked great for a rose. I inked the stamps and lightly missed them with water before stamping, which caused a little intentional smearing. I dropped some water & cherry ink around. Then I used a wonderful airbrush that I won during HYCCT last October with my Pool Party marker to add some soft speckles of color. Finished with the dessert of "bling" and a ribbon.
Thanks for looking!

First off hope you heal quickly, because the next challenge is coming around so soon and can't have you not keep in the challenge when you make such gorgeous cards like this with just one hand. Scared to think if you used your toes too!! Lol beautifully done. Sending you a kiss to make it feel better!! *kisses

Diane-- wow. Honored and humbled by your story, and shall I tell you how many times I've clipped a digit while cutting fabric (quilter) with a rotary cutter, or trimming paper? Slow learner, here. btw, I've eleven more days in the sling. But who's counting?
This card is so classy/lovely. Awesome.

Beautiful card - specially when it was constructed under difficult circumstances. Hope the thumb is back in action again soon. Love the watercolour feel to this card and the way you have turned the sketch on its side too.
